Click to watch what happened on the fifth day of the contest, Tuesday. This was when the contest finally rounded off with the announcement of the winners at the spectacular award ceremony in the historic Bethlehem Chapel, at which the students’ successes were celebrated to music by Musica Florea and boys choir Boni Pueri, as well as a flowing performance by Duo Decalages. The award ceremony was followed by a reception, yet again more than ably catered by the incredible Maximum Party Service. In the evening, all contestants were at last able to relax and enjoy their new friendships made during the contest, at the astonishing light and dark themed farewell party in SaSaZu. Here, they danced the night away to a DJ and were entertained by a variety of interactive light and laser games, dance performances, and once again the astonishing Pa-Li-Tchi. We hope you all enjoyed the finale of the 25th.

Click to watch what happened on the fourth day of the contest, Monday. This was the final day of showing off projects in Incheba, both to the public (once again, a huge turnout of more than 1000 people, including school classes), and to the jury. Nerves were running high, as were the straw towers the contestants were building to try to win a special prize from the European Commission for their creative constructions. There were two more talks, one from Prof. Mark McCaughrean of the European Space Agency, member of EIROforum, and one from our very own Dr Michael Londesborough, researcher in chemistry at the Academy of Sciences. In the evening, when the judging was over and the wonderful displays all taken down, the teams finally had their chance to see how beautiful Prague is, on a guided tour.

And plenty of games for the contestants to challenge themselves in the little free time.
